The Surrey County Council Farnham Lane (D134) Haslemere Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2021

Surrey County Council (“The Council”) Propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act (“The Act”) 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Farnham Lane (D134) Haslemere as extends from its junction with (X83021) The Avenue to a point approximately 20 metres south along (D134) Farnham Lane. There is no applicable diversion route.

The Order is required to allow critical water mains repair works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Morrisons Utility Services within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 nights between the hours of 8pm and 5am within the 12 month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 09 February 2021. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, the emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times

Dear Councillor,

For your information can I advise you of emergency works being carried out on Farnham Lane, Haslemere (Opposite Bracken Cottage).

Thames Water need to repair a burst water main. The traffic management that is placed is a Road Closure and the estimated end date is the 01/10/2020.

Farnham Lane (D134) Haslemere Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2020

SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL PROPOSE TO MAKE the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Farnham Lane (D134) Haslemere which extends from its junction with Bunch Lane to its junction with Stoatley Hollow.

There is no diversion route possible for this road closure.

This Order is required to enable SGN to carry out gas main replacement works, which is anticipated to be completed within 3 months, between 7.30am and 5pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 24 February 2020.

Advanced warning sign will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency vehicles to these properties, will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION TRAFFIC NOTICE 2016

SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL IN EXERCISE OF ITS POWERS UNDER SECTION 14 (2) OF The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers hereby gives notice that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in that length of Wey Hill (B2131), Haslemere that extends from its junction with Farnham Lane (D134) and its western junction with St Christopher’s Road (D5521) and/or any part and/or parts therein.

This Notice is required to enable highway maintenance, improvement and/or resurfacing works to be carried out on behalf of Surrey County Council. The Notice will come into effect on 11th July 2016 for a period of 5 days however these works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00 within 2 nights of this period. The prohibition will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed and to the extent indicated by those traffic signs.

The prohibition referred to above will not apply in respect of anything done:
a) with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform;
b) in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the highway by or on behalf of the Police.
Access for emergency vehicles, residences and businesses will be maintained at all times.

All eastbound vehicular traffic except buses and HGVs over 12’ height will be diverted via Wey Hill, Lion Green, Junction Place, Liphook Road, Sturt Road, Bell Road, Midhurst Road, Shepherd’s Hill, Lower Street and Wey Hill.

All westbound vehicular traffic except buses and HGVs over 12’ height will be diverted via Wey Hill, Lower Street (eastbound), Lower Street (westbound), (to follow gyratory due to the prohibited right turn at Shepherd’s Hill) Shepherd’s Hill, Midhurst Road, Bell Road, Sturt Road, Liphook Road, Junction Place, Lion Green and Wey Hill.

Buses and HGVs over 12’ height will be escorted through works by banksmen.
